Music has always been a source of healing and transformation. In my mind, nothing is more sacred than each individual's right to be free from bodily assault. I am honored by the opportunity to raise my musical voice for the cause of bodily integrity. I hope and pray to live to see the day when the right of each individual to have self-determination over all of their body parts, both private and public parts, will be recognized as a fundamental human right.

While I believe in honoring many of the ways of my Jewish ancestors, circumcision is one thing that I never have and never will believe in.

One of the wisest spiritual teachings came from Hillel, "What is hateful to you, do not do unto others."

In the spirit of treating others the way we would want to be treated, I
welcome any opportunities to serenade happy, intact babies and their families at naming ceremonies."
